Example of how to Add Attributes to a product

From the mfc home page, user selects 'Catalog option' from top menu.
System shows drop down menu

User Selects Attributes controller option
System shows attribute controller - scrolling list of products

User selects a product by name and presses the [Display] Button
System shows attribute controller page displaying all attributes associated with selected product.

User selects the attribute that they want to edit - by clicking the [edit] button at the end of the selected attribute line in the list of attributes.
System shows editing interface for the attribute: pick list of products shows selected product by name, pick list of option names shows 'option type name' eg. Alphaville-PremiumLeather-Colors, pick list of 'Option Values' shows selected attribute by name. wholesale markup price and currency options are in green block, and Retail markup and currency options are in the blue block.

User updates wholesale markup price, markup currency remains unchanged. User updates Retail Markup price, select markup currency remains unchanged. Note also that the radio button labeled '+' is selected because this is an increase in the price of the item relative to the base / standard price. User would select the radio button labeled '-' if the price were to be reduced for the selected attribute, (relative to the base price). User presses the [Update] button
System updates prices, closes editing section of page and displays the full list of attributes with the modified price of the recently updated attribute.

User wants to copy the attributes from one product to another. User selects the product that he / she wants to copy attributes from. Clicking on the product name in the scrolling list of products, above the list of attributes. User clicks on the [display] button.
System shows list of attibutes for the selected product

User clicks on the [Copy To] button (above the scrolling list of products)
System shows scrolling list of products with header indicating that the user must select a product by name - to which attributes will be copied.

User selects product by name (copy to product x), and selects the radio button labeled Update with new settings/prices, then add new ones. And then clicks on the [Copy]
System copies all of the attributes to the selected product - thereby adding the new attributes to any existing attributes for that product. System shows the new product and its new attributes in an attribute controller list.

User selects the 'Catalog' menu option from the top of the page, and then selects the Product Attributes Option
System shows the Product Attribute Page

User Clicks on the [Edit Attributes] button at the top of this page
System shows the attribute controller - scrolling list of products

User selects a product by name and presses the [Display] Button System shows attribute controller page displaying all attributes associated with selected product.

User scrolls down the page until the Header: Adding New Attributes' is displayed. Instructions say: Define the attribute Settings then press insert to apply. The Selected product is already selected in the first of three scroll boxes. User selects an option name by clicking on it
System filters the Option values according to the option name selected. The Scrolling list of Option values now shows only those option values associated with the selected Option name.

User selects an option Value
System does a check to make sure that the Option value selected matches the option name. It does.

User scrolls down and clicks on the 'Browse' Button
System shows user a new window with the normal file tree navigation of their own computer.

User selects a jpg image of a color swatch and clicks on the [open] button
System selects the file indicated and closing the file tree window, returns to the attribute controller page

User clicks on the [insert] button
System uploads the image, adds the new attribute to the list of attributes associated with the selected product. A 12pt yellow and black circle to the left of the Option value in the list - indicates that the image has been uploaded.
